2nd October 2024:L Loreto English Medium High School celebrated “Birthdays of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri” with great zeal. The corresponent of our school Rev. Fr. Francis Crasta, Our School Principal Rev.Fr.Jason Vijay Monis and and Vice Principal Mrs. Anitha Shalini Pais were present on the dias. The program commenced with the prayer song to invoke god’s blessings. The dignitaries on a raised platform lit the ceremonial lamp as a symbol of enlightenment and knowledge. Ms. Ashel Saldhana from Grade VIII warmly greeted the gathering. A floral tribute was offered by the dignitaries,to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri with a respectful bow of the head. This was followed by a speech on the importance of the day, delivered by Ms. Jonaida Pinto from Grade VIII. Our School Principal Rev.Fr. Jason Vijay Monis delivered a wonderful message to the gathering and said ” cleanliness begins in the hearts. Just as we strive to keep our surroundings clean, we must also cleanse our inner selves, our thoughts and intention.
Our School Correspondent Rev. Fr. Francis Crasta highlighted his message and said ” Mahatma Gandhi is a beacon of truth and nonviolence. His principles of truth and nonviolence have guided us not only in freedom struggle, but in our daily lives. Through his actions, he won the hearts of millions, not just in India, but across the world”. Mast.Shrijan from Grade VIII delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all present for making the event success. The program was anchored by Ms. Verona pinto from Grade VIII.The program concluded with the National Anthem. Later, The principal, along with the teachers and students actively participated in the “Swachata Abhiyan Campaign – 2024, to promote a sense of responsibility among the students towards maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings.
