Children’s Day celebration

“Children are like buds in a garden and should be careful and lovingly nurtured as they are the future of the nation and the  citizens of tomorrow.”

On 14th November 2024, Loreto English Medium High School celebrated Children’s Day with the great excitement and delightfully. The event was organised by the teachers to honour and celebrate the spirit of childhood and to make the day memorable for all the students.  The School Correspondent  Rev. Fr. Francis Crasta,  Guest of honor Dr. Umesh Adyanthaya. B. Administrative Medical Officer at Community Health Center, Vamadapadavu, Our School Principal Rev.Fr. Jason Vijay Monis, Vice Principal Mrs. Anitha Shalini Pais,  Head Boy Mast. Joshil Prinston Pinto and Head Girl Sanvi Acharya graced the dias with their presence. The program commenced with prayer song performed by the teachers. Mrs. Philomen Pinto graciously welcomed the gathering. The lamp was lit to commemorate the occasion.

The dignitaries offered flowers in tribute to the portrait of Nehru. A variety of competitions were organised for the children and prizes were awarded to the winners. The School Principal Rev.Fr. Jason Vijay Monis addressed the students expressing the importance of Children’s Day and wished them to be good children to their parents and responsible citizen of our country. Guest of honour Dr. Umesh Adyanthaya. B , He emphasized the importance of maintaining good health and personal hygiene in daily life. He highlighted simple practices like regular  handwashing, proper nutrition which contribute to a healthier Lifestyle. Dr. Adyanthaya also highlighted the long – term benefits of good hygiene habits in preventing illnesses and promoting overall well-being. Later, Our School Correspondent Rev. Fr. Francis Crasta encouraged the students to do good deeds and help others. And  he also said that, “well-disciplined person can achieve in their future.” The teachers and students organised the cultural performances adding vibrancy and excitement to the event. The students thoroughly enjoyed watching their teachers on the stage. The occasion was filled with sweet memories of the children which were later showcased in a PowerPoint Presentation highlighting the moments.  The event was anchored by Mrs. Mareena.  The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Vinita Priya D’Souza.
