Loreto English Medium High School organised an Elocution Competition for students from Grades 1 to 10 in the school auditorium. The event aimed to develop students’ public speaking skills and encourage them to express their thoughts on themes related to patriotism and national pride. Different topics were assigned to different grades, ensuring that the speeches were age-appropriate and thought-provoking.
The programme was graced by the presence of our Principal, Rev. Fr. Jason Vijay Monis, whose encouragement inspired the participants to perform confidently. The competition was judged by Ms. Vineesha from Bajal and Ms. Sharal Fonseka, a proud alumna of Loreto.
The participants impressed the audience with their clarity, confidence, and creativity. The event not only provided a platform for students to voice their ideas but also deepened their sense of patriotism and respect for the nation.
