Festival of Lights Sparkles at Loreto English Medium High School

 Loreto English Medium High School, CBSE, celebrated the festival of lights, Deepavali, with great joy and enthusiasm. The programme was graced by the School Manager, Fr. Francis Crasta, School Principal Fr. Jason Vijay Monis, PTA Vice-President Mr. Rodney Ivan D’Souza, and the Vice-Principal, Mrs Anitha Pais.

The celebration began with the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, marking the auspicious beginning of the event. The Principal, Fr. Jason Vijay Monis, in his address, conveyed his heartfelt Deepavali wishes to all. He encouraged the students to shine brightly like the lamps of Deepavali, spreading light through good deeds and knowledge.

The Manager, Fr Francis Crasta, spoke about the spiritual significance of Deepavali. He reminded everyone that when we do good and follow the right path, our efforts are always recognised and blessed.

The cultural part of the programme included colourful dances, melodious songs, and a beautiful display of rangoli and diyas, creating a festive atmosphere. Students also participated enthusiastically in the lantern-making competition, bringing their creativity to life through many bright and artistic Gudu deepas.

The programme was compered by Dhanvitha of Grade IX. Ashel from Grade IX delivered the welcome address. Junaida spoke on the importance of the day, and Anvika proposed the vote of thanks.
