Embracing the Pride of Kannada Culture: Kannada Rajyotsava Celebration at Loreto English Medium High School

Loreto English Medium High School, CBSE, celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava with great spirit in a special assembly. The day is observed to honour the formation of Karnataka and to cherish the rich language, culture, and heritage of the state.

Principal Fr. Jason Vijay Monis extended warm greetings on the occasion of Rajyotsava. He reminded students that language is a beautiful way to express thoughts and learnings. He encouraged everyone to speak fluently without losing the purity of the language and added that, to improve fluency, one must build vocabulary and engage in creative activities such as writing poems, stories, and essays.

Students presented dance and song performances dedicated to Kannada songs, reflecting the rich culture and heritage of Karnataka. Shrajan from Grade IX compered the programme, Kusuma spoke about the importance of the day, Sanvi delivered the welcome address, and Isha Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.

The celebration reflected the true purpose of Kannada Rajyotsava — to celebrate the pride of Karnataka and preserve the beauty of the Kannada language.
