Turning the Page to 2026: New Year Celebration at Loreto English Medium High School

Loreto English Medium High School CBSE celebrated the New Year 2026 in the school auditorium. The programme began with a special prayer service during which students read verses from the Holy Bible, the Bhagavad Gita, and the Holy Quran.

The programme was graced by the presence of the School Manager, Rev. Fr. Francis Crasta, the Principal, Rev. Fr. Jason Vijay Monis, and the Vice Principal, Mrs. Anitha Pais.

In his address, the Principal, Fr. Jason Vijay Monis, stressed the importance of making meaningful resolutions to bring about positive change in life. He encouraged students to limit their use of social media, avoid wasting time on unnecessary activities, and instead, utilize their time effectively for studies to build a better future. He concluded his speech by wishing everyone a cheerful and prosperous New Year.

The School Manager, Fr. Francis Crasta, in his message, spoke about the New Year as a time of newness, new hope, and fresh beginnings. He urged students to bring about a change in their attitude, behavior, and learning habits. He advised them to cultivate the habit of reading newspapers, engage in regular physical exercise, and show respect towards teachers.

The programme was anchored by Aradhya of Grade VI. The vote of thanks was proposed by Viola of Grade X, and Rachel of Grade IX extended the vote of thanks.

The New Year celebration served as a meaningful beginning to 2026, inspiring students to embrace positive values, discipline, and dedication in the year ahead.
