Loretto Central School celebrated the 77th Republic Day with great patriotism and solemnity on the school grounds.
The celebration was graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Francis Crasta, Manager, Rev. Fr. Jason Vijay Monis, Principal, Sr. Idoline Rodrigues, Headmistress, Loreto Aided Kannada Medium School, Mrs. Anitha Pais, Vice Principal, Mr. Isaac Vas, Parish Council Vice President and Mr. Rodney Ivan D’Souza, PTA.Vice President.
Rev. Fr. Francis Crasta, the Manager, along with the dignitaries unfurled the National Flag. The students sang patriotic songs with pride, respect, and patriotic fervor.
Rev. Fr. Francis Crasta in his address highlighted that every citizen of India enjoys rights along with responsibilities and duties. He spoke about India’s rich diversity, cultural heritage, and the great sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. He emphasized the duties of students towards the nation, stressing that through selfless service, discipline, a sense of cleanliness, and acts of charity, India can continue to grow and prosper. He urged students to be disciplined and responsible citizens so that the nation may rise to the heights envisioned by our freedom fighters.
Joseph of Grade VIII delivered the welcome address. The programme was compered by Nishel of Grade IX. The celebration concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Sanvi Shenoy, from grade 7.
The Republic Day celebration served as a meaningful reminder of our duties as responsible citizens and reinforced the values of unity, discipline, and patriotism among the students.
